Welcome to Oxbridge

Oxbridge Games is a family-owned business just north of Warwickshire, England. We specialise in quality, traditional games. As a family, we love to come together and play board games, talk about our day and generally spend time around the table. My friends and colleagues love to visit and will often sit for a few hours to enjoy a game of Go or Chess, and while my son is an aficianado of the more screen-based gaming entertainments, he can still give his father a run for his money on the Chess board or, if we're on a train, it's frequently an occasion for Backgammon.

For a quick game, we're always up for a round of cards. We favour the rummy and bridge variants, but my wife is frightfully good at the speed games. Personally, I prefer to sit back, sip on a single malt and consider my next move.

But most of all, I think we love the tactile qualities of well-crafted, high quality games as objets d'art. A good chess set is a thing of beauty, a joy to own, and a family heirloom to treasure. Even something as simple and humble as a good deck of cards and a nice cribbage board can be a real pleasure.
